Rector reitera llamado a mantener cuidados para prevenir contagios por COVID-19
Ante la situación actual donde los casos de contagio por COVID-19 continúan presentándose, el Rector de la Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS), doctor Juan Eulogio Guerra Liera, reiteró el llamado a mantener y redoblar los cuidados suficientes aún cuando ya se haya iniciado la fase de vacunación en el país.
“El llamado es: esperemos la vacuna, esperemos el turno que nos toque en esta programación, pero no lo hagamos sin tener los suficientes cuidados, hay que redoblar la sana distancia, el uso de gel, el uso de cubrebocas, no asistir a reuniones innecesarias, no andar en comercios o en áreas donde no es necesario estar, y cuidémonos, por nosotros, por nuestros hijos y por la sociedad en general”, expresó Guerra Liera.
El Rector señaló que la Universidad no ha dejado de apoyar a la sociedad, no solo a los universitarios, con miles de litros de gel que la propia institución fabrica en su Facultad de Ciencias Químico Biológicas.
Indicó que además de gel alcoholado al 70 por ciento, se siguen produciendo caretas, entregando cubrebocas, además de los apoyos como auxiliares de respiración, entre otros insumos y se continúa con los cursos de preparación para el manejo de enfermos con COVID-19 a médicos, enfermeros y demás integrantes del área de la salud y que tienen como principal objetivo prevenir el contagio, y prevenir que esto se dispare de una manera aún todavía más agresiva.
“La Universidad mantiene el compromiso, el llamado es: cierto ya empezaron las vacunas, pero es insuficiente, el futuro inmediato no nos garantiza que vengan en las cantidades que se requiere, somos 130 millones de mexicanos, y hoy al menos, por lo pronto, se requiere vacunar a quienes están en la primera línea que es el área de la salud, que no se ha podido finiquitarla”, dijo.
Incluso en la reciente toma de protesta a nuevos funcionarios, el Rector pidió a los trabajadores universitarios que se encontraban laborando en sus oficinas en ese momento que no bajen la guardia, que se sigan cuidando para no ser contagiados o contagiar a alguien durante esta pandemia y sobre todo hacer conciencia de que este coronavirus ya ha cobrado la vida de muchos universitarios.

He indicated that in addition to 70 percent alcohol gel, masks continue to be produced, delivering mouth covers, in addition to breathing assistants, among other inputs and continuing training courses for the management of patients with COVID-19 to doctors, nurses and other members of the health area who are primarily aimed at preventing contagion and preventing this from skyrocketing in an even more aggressive way.
